Linux Operating System Recommendation
Having compatible Linux operating systems according to the technical specifications of your computer makes our choices easier in terms of Linux. Of course, there are many types of Linux operating systems that can be used for an average up-to-date computer. We have recommendations on how to choose between these and to avoid wasting time by constantly trying new Linux distributions.
Take into consideration the ranking of the most downloaded Linux distributions from the Distrowatch site. A distribution that is in demand is more supported and its problems are more easily resolved.
Ubuntu-based distributions and Ubuntu derivatives, with their deb package structure, are the most used distribution base today and therefore are considered as the distribution base when producing the porogram package.
Arch-based Linux distributions, on the other hand, are distributions that can also use deb packages and offer more program package options. However, it may be less stable and less stable than Ubuntu.
Recently preferred Linux distributions and my short comments:
GarudaLinux
Pros: It recognizes the sound system and hardware without any problems. Spotify etc. no problem. Raguda seems problematic compared to the plasma gaming version.
Cons:Zen core structure comes predefined. Optimus etc. may not be compatible. There is fan noise. Java gives an error when Compiz is installed. Multimedia codecs can cause problems.
bluestar-linux:
Pros: Those who want to use an arch-based distribution without making a choice with its ready-made comprehensive programs can choose it. It installs audio devices without any problems.
Cons: Spotify adblock can be problematic. A loud sound may be heard.
Endeavours:
Pros: Distrowatcta is top ranked, it is arch based, there are explanations and nvidia installation script for nvidia drivers on its website.
linuxfx:
Pros: There is also an Ubuntu-based Windows version. It is the first choice for those who will use a Deb-based distribution. It is very important that there is no fan noise. In the Wubuntu version, you can easily edit online office documents as well as Windows.
Cons. Over time, you may want to change your distribution again, considering that arch-based distributions have a larger package pool. Tradingview stands out as a program that cannot be connected via Fatih line. It may be necessary to enter the password twice to unlock the screen. Hypnotix is not in the program pool by default.
Regata:
A stable distribution based on Opensuse. It installs Nvidia drivers automatically. It may be preferred for those who want to benefit from the advantages of Opensuse.
Linux Mint:
Pros: It is stable because it uses the Ubuntu infrastructure. Compatible with Mate iso su compiz. There is no fan noise. Libreoffice does not give an error.
Cons: There are outdated desktops and programs. You may have problems connecting to the Windows network.
Pardus: Pardus is a distribution that should not be included in this list and does not seem preferable. It is a Debian-based distro, not Ubuntu. The limitations of Debian are not preferable for those who do not want to deal with it.
