Neptune is a GNU / Linux distribution for desktops. This is based on Debian's stable branch, with a newer kernel, some drivers, and newer versions of popular applications such as LibreOffice. It also comes with the latest version of KDE desktop. The main goals of deployment are to provide a good-looking general-purpose desktop with pre-configured multimedia playback and to offer an easy-to-use USB installer with a retention option.

There is a pre-loading problem in the efi systems.
Installed with all the basic packages needed by the end user may be installed plus some multimedia and development programs are included in the system
5.8.5 version of Kde plasma pre-installed
There is a start button similar to the Windows start button.
